About
Who I Am
I am Vincent Yang, born in Zhejiang, China. I am currently based mostly in Pittsburgh, PA, U.S.A, and I previously studied computer science at the University of Pittsburgh.
I have been interested in computers since primary school, and that interest gradually turned into a long-running curiosity about networks, servers, automation, infrastructure, and how systems actually work. Many posts on this site come from the same habit: taking something from “it seems to work” to “I understand why it works this way.”
What This Site Is
missuo.me is my personal space. It is not a resume page, and it is not built for traffic. I mainly use it to record:
- Life: studying abroad, moving, travel, flights, visas, and thoughts that do not fit well on social platforms.
- Technology: VPS, networking, Cloudflare, BGP, deployments, scripts, automation, and the problems I have run into.
- Devices and services: phones, computers, routers, consumer experiences, and the real differences between regions and ecosystems.
- Archives: decisions, evidence, routes, configurations, and lessons that may help me or someone else later.
I prefer writing with concrete details. When a post can include dates, routes, configurations, constraints, and results, I would rather write those down than summarize everything as “it worked” or “it failed.”
Interests
- Basketball (Golden State Warriors fan)
- Travel (love to go see the sea)
- Vibe Coding
Access Restrictions
If you try to visit this site from a mainland China IP address, you may find that it is inaccessible. This is not a bug. It is a deliberate geo-blocking rule configured through Cloudflare.
This blog is a place where I can write and archive things freely. I do not need maximum traffic, and I do not want to adjust my writing to fit certain censorship environments. Keeping this space outside those environments is the simplest way for it to remain readable, controllable, and harder to distort.
If you are a reader from mainland China and have a genuine interest in the content here, you are still welcome to access the site through other means. The restriction is not aimed at individual readers. It is aimed at an environment I do not want this site to enter.
